In view of its national prominent role in combating money laundering and terrorism financing, QFIU organized the “Third Forum of the Public-Private Dialogue” on 4-5 November 2019 at the Training Center of the National Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Committee (NAMLC). Representatives from Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA), Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA), DNFBPs, and the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) and NPOs sector, participated in the forum.
From the private sector, representatives from securities companies and banks shared their views and presentations with the participants, clarifying their role in the implementation of the law and controls, in addition to the challenges faced and how to overcome them.
The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) also addressed the regulatory aspects of non-profit organizations, highlighting the necessary requirements to deal with this important sector.
QFIU commends the active participation of public and private partners and looks forward to a continued and joint constructive cooperation in the support of the national anti-money laundering and terrorism financing system.
